Steam Guide: How to Unlock All Tutorial Island Achievements in Rust

1. Completely close Rust.
   
2. Open your Steam Library.
   
3. Right-click on Rust and select Properties...
   
4. Stay in the General tab and scroll down to the Launch Options text box at the very bottom.
   
5. Copy and paste the following exact parameters into the box:

   +client.hascompletedtutorial false +client.hasdeclinedtutorial false
   

   (The plus signs + are mandatory. They force Steam to execute these console commands right at the game startup before the server overrides your settings).
   
6. Close the Properties window.

1. Launch Rust via Steam.

3. Join a regular Official Facepunch Server (e.g., EU Facepunch 1).
   Important: Avoid community-run or "Premium" servers, as they usually have the tutorial island completely disabled in their config files.
   
4. Wake up on the beach so your character is fully alive and standing.
   
5. Press the ESC key on your keyboard.
   
6. Click on the SESSION tab located at the top-left of the menu bar.
   
7. Look at the top-right corner (next to the Options/Quit buttons). The Tutorial button will now be unlocked and visible. Click it to be teleported to the island.

1. Achievement: "Pew Pew" (Hidden Revolver)

• Run down to the coast and look for the Lighthouse.
  
• Walk all the way to the backside / outside of the lighthouse foundation (near the rocks/water).
  
• You will find a hidden Elite Crate spawning there.
  
• Open the crate and loot the Revolver inside. The achievement "Pew Pew" will unlock instantly.

2. Achievement: "Complete the Tutorial Island"

• After getting the revolver, simply follow the in-game instructions on your screen.
  
• Complete all basic tasks (gathering wood/stone, crafting tools, building your first 1x1 base, and firing a weapon).
  
• Once the final task is completed and you leave the island via the menu or the boat, the "Complete the Tutorial Island" achievement will unlock.
